DURING COOPERATION PERIOD GERMANY ALLOCATED 309 MILLION EURO TO AZERBAIJAN

For the period of cooperation in the framework of assistance Germany allocated 309 million euro of funding to Azerbaijan, the Minister of Economic Development (MED) Farhad Aliyev told journalists, Trend reports.

According to him, 143 million euro was allotted as the financial assistance, 26 million euro more as the technical assistance. The remaining 140 million euro was allocated in the framework of assistance to Azerbaijan from the part of the European Union.

In the framework of the Protocol signed on 24-26 April 2005 at the result of the talks FRG will render assistance to Azerbaijan for 18,8 million euro, including 13,8 million euro of the financial aid and 5 million euro of the technical assistance. The financial aid will be aimed at the third stage of the project for the private sector promotion (6 million euro), acquisition of the participation in the capital of the Azerbaijan’s Bank of micro-financing (1,5 million euro) by the German bank for Reconstruction (KfW), the pilot project of the Cadastre and the state Register of the real estate (3,5 million euro), for the support (2 million euro) of the water supply and sewage second stage (Gyandja and Sheki),the Fourth Foundation for researches and specialists (1,18 million euro). The technical assistance will be directed to the project of legal and judicial reforms (1,15 million), the Fund for researches and specialists (0,7 million euro), the program of the private sector development (3,15 million euro).
