Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abbasov received Bernard Amaudric du Chafeau, new Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan. Trend reports with reference to international relations department of the ministry, cooperation in agricultural sphere was spoken of during the meeting.
On the meeting the sides talked of actions to be taken within the program of three projects by State Veterinary Service, European Commission and French Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fishing. The projects incorporate vaccination, improvement of lab conditions, registration and identification of cattle. Over 10 veterinary boards have been repaired.
The minister stated the necessity in investments in Azerbaijans winemaking by French businessmen. Namely this sphere is considered most profitable in the countrys agricultural sector.
The Ambassador expressed his willing to promote French companies involvement in this sphere.
