As of mid-July, grain-crops harvest in Azerbaijan (not including corn) totaled 1.72mln ton gathered at the area of 665.69k ha, 88% of the total sown area. The harvest amount rose by 1.58k ton or by 0.2 centner/ha over year. Average crop capacity in regions totaled 25.9 centner/ha.
Grain-crops harvest-2006 in Azerbaijan is forecasted in amount of 2,2mln ton. From this amount, 1.6mln ton falls for bead-grain. Grain import amount is planned to be not less than 500k ton.
