(autoinsidernews) вЂ" According to a new study, German sports car maker Porsche is far and away the world's most profitable car manufacturer per vehicle. The study shows that Porsche earns an average of в'¬21,799 (about $28,000) in profit before taxes for every vehicle it sells, reports Trend.
The figure is far ahead of any other automaker in the study by German automotive analysis and forecasting firm B&D Forecast.
Porsche's per car profit is nine times more than BMW makes per car at в'¬2475 per car (about $3,200). Toyota is is in third place with в'¬1,684 (about $2,200) per-unit profit. Audi comes in with в'¬1,684 (about $2,050), followed by DaimlerChrysler at в'¬708 per unit and Volkswagen with в'¬322 per vehicle.
