In January 2007 the volume of output of nonmetallic mineral matters in Azerbaijan increased by 29.7%. According to the State Statistics Committee, output of the main types of products such as cement, bricks, lime and structural glass increased in the country. At present, 92.3% of the constructional materials fall to the private sector, Trend reports.
In 2006 the number of people employed in this field reached 5,832 persons, over 14.6% more than the corresponding period of last year. The average wage of employees was 141.6 AZN in this period.
