Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / The second round of talks involving an expert group consisting of Azerbaijanis and South Koreans regarding the agreement on avoidance of double taxation of incomes and property will be continued in Baku on 18 August, according to the Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry. The representatives of the International Taxes Department of South Korean Finance & Economy Ministry are now in Baku for participating in the talks which began on 14 August.
The first round was held in December 2006.
Analogue agreements with Canada, Latvia, the Czech Republic, and the Belgian Kingdom took effect on 1 January 2007. Such agreements with twenty-three countries have legislative power for today, but the number of documents signed in this field is higher. The most recent agreement was signed with Tajikistan this week.
