New Bus Station Built in Azerbaijan District

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr Trend S.Jaliloglu / The construction of a new bus station has begun in the Barda District, in southwest Azerbaijan.

Yashar Zamanov, the head of the Construction and Architecture Department of the Barda District Executive Power said on 29 August that the building will occupy 2ha. The bus station will have a two-storied waiting room. The height of the building is to be 48m with a width of 30m. Eight buses will operate through the terminal a day and serve more than 250 passengers.

The building of the old bus station of Barda is unfit for operation and its territory is too small, with only two buses operating through the present terminal a day.

The estimate of the new bus station exceeds AZN 1mln. Tufan 66 LTD, an Azerbaijani company, will construct the new building.

Barda is located 320km southwest of Baku.
