Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 November/ Trend , corr. E.Ismayilov / In January to October 2008, the Bakgas state venture transferred about 1.88bln cu m of gas to the gas system in Baku, a source from the company reported.
In October, some 147.3mln cu m of gas was supplied to the gas system in Baku, in September - about 110.83mln cu m and in August - 98.3mln cu m of gas.
Before, the company refused from the seasonal gas delivery regime (summer and winter seasons) to the system in Baku. Now, the delivered gas volume is defined through demand. The application of seasonal regime is due to many subscribers do not have meters. At present, 100% of the population of Baku is provided with gas meters.
In previous years, the state venture turned to summer regime from the mid of April and cut gas supply volume to subscribers. The state venture turned to winter season regime on 15 November. During summer season regime the gas supply volume touched 3-4mln cu m, and 10-13mln cu m of gas during winter season regime.
