Chevron to build shipyard in Caspian

The Chevron Company intends to increase the capacity of the plant for production of polyethylene pipes in the city of Aktau, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said in his speech at the Council of Investors, which is posted on the site of Ak-Orda.

"I met with President of Chevron, we have agreed to expand the plant in half, as well as to build a new factory valves and shipyards in the Caspian Sea," the head of state said.
According to the president, foreign investors are willing to put their investments in new production.

"The company Saipem in a joint venture with Kazakh investors built the factory of metal. I met with head of Eni Group Skaroni, we agreed on the construction of gas processing plant and a new gas power plant," the president added.
