SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has started interpretation of data derived from the processing of a number of profiles under the current two-dimensional seismic survey in Eldaroyugu Boyuk Palanteken onshore section, a report released by Azneft production association of SOCAR stated.
The section is a part of Kura Gabyrry interfluvial oil and gas area. Integrated geophysical work is carried out in the section in order to study its geological structure, predict oil and gas content.
"Processing of a number of profiles has been completed and interpretation of the results has been launched," the report says.
SOCAR includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas on and offshore), the Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
