Azerbaijan’s SOCAR-AQS LLC has completed drilling four new wells at the West Absheron and the Gunashli fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, the company told Trend Nov. 3.
“The drilling of wells #33 and #34 at the West Absheron field was launched from the offshore platform #20,” said the company. “The wells’ depth is 735 and 733 meters, respectively.”
The company successfully completed drilling of wells #29 and #323 at the Gunashli field from the offshore platform #7. The wells’ depth was 3,876 and 2,822 meters, respectively.
Azneft Production Union is the customer of the work.
SOCAR-AQS was established in 2007 by SOCAR and Absheron Drilling as a joint venture, rendering integrated services for drilling and well servicing.
Currently, the company conducts drilling work at the Gunashli, Western Absheron, Umid and Bulla Deniz fields.
