Belgian company intends to co-op with Uzbekistan in energy sector

Belgian company PB Clermont is ready to cooperate with Uzbekistan in producing and transferring technologies, educating and training specialists in the mining industry, energy, as well as the oil and gas industry, Trend reports citing the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.

Uzbek delegation discussed cooperation issues with the representative of the company at the headquarters of PB Clermont on September 3, 2019.

During the talks, it was emphasized that today a number of large projects in Uzbekistan in the field of developing mineral resources and minerals, the oil and gas industry and the mining industry are encouraging large foreign companies to pay great attention to the possibility of transferring business to Uzbekistan.

A representative of PB Clermont praised the ongoing system reforms in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in working closely with the Ministry of Energy, the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources and Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a visit of the company’s delegation to Uzbekistan in the near future with meetings in interested ministries and departments of the country to identify promising cooperation projects, including the creation of a joint venture.
