Azerbaijan increases oil export volumes year-on-year

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 15

Azerbaijan exported 19.5 million tons of oil from January through July 2020, which is 0.02 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the statistical report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).

According to the report, the total volume of exports of petroleum products in the reporting period amounted to $6.3 billion, showing an annual decrease of 48.6 percent.

During seven months of 2020, the volume of exports of petroleum products amounted to almost 705,797 tons, which is 15.4 percent more compared to the same period of last year.

The volume of exports from Azerbaijan during the reporting period of this year totaled $9.1 billion, having shown a 33.6 percent drop year-on-year.
