Kazakhstan's crude petroleum oil exports to Greece plummet

Kazakhstan has exported 443,890 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 113.7 million euros to Greece in August 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 3.7 million tons of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 1.1 billion euros to Greece over the period from Jan. through Aug. 2020.

Thus, the August volume of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Greece is 20.8 percent less than in volume compared to July 2020 (560,536 tons) and is 7.4 percent more than in Jan. 2020 (413,010 tons).

August’s export value is also 25.3 percent less than in July 2020 (152.3 million euros) and is 39.9 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (189.3 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Greece amounted to $1.13 billion over the first nine months of 2020, compared to $1.10 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Greece amounted to $1.11 billion over the period from January through Sept. 2020, compared to $1.09 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Greece amounted to nearly $15.6 million over the reporting period, compared to $13.7 million during the same period of 2019.
