As a result of troubleshooting, gas supplies from the Mubarek gas processing plant in Uzbekistan has been fully restored, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

“To date, all 14 gas-pumping units have been launched and are operating in working mode, which was stopped at the oil and gas fields of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department,” the ministry said.

However, the ministry noted that the volumes that were not supplied on January 4 were not replenished, which prevents the resumption of the required gas pressure. There is also an increase in gas consumption due to a drop in temperature on January 4 and 5.

In this regard, the paramount task is the stable supply of natural gas for the population of the country and enterprises of Thermal Power Plants JSC to provide electricity.

“This temporary measure is introduced until a stable gas pressure in the main gas pipelines is ensured,” the ministry stressed.

According to the message, these restrictions are introduced in a number of regions in agreement with local administrations.

Due to the current situation, there were isolated cases of temporary interruptions in the supply of electricity and gas to households. The ministry assured that all cases are under control and promptly resolved.
