BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) AG would be happy to consider renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan, RBI told Trend.
“Currently we do not have such projects but will be happy in the future to consider them especially if there will be European supplier of technology, what could be covered by European Export Credit Agencies (ECA) and financed by RBI on long term basis. In RBI, we consider ourselves as a bridge-builder and our mission is to connect economies in different countries. So the main focus is on cooperation with financial institutions in Azerbaijan,” said the bank.
RBI said it provides such service to the banks in Azerbaijan like: payments - to enable clearing, trade finance - to help Azerbaijani trade with other countries via issuing letter of credits or letter of guarantees, it provides access to international capital markets and offer services in foreign exchange, fixed income trading and money market operations.
“In 2022 we will continue servicing and supporting our institutional clients while at the same time continuing our efforts jointly with local regulator to further enhance compliance governance in the financial sector,” said the bank.
