BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Iran's North Drilling Company (NDCO) is interested in working with neighboring countries, especially Azerbaijan, the CEO of the company Mohammad Hadi Asemi told Trend.

The CEO noted that the North Drilling Company is conducting research in neighboring countries to expand its operations in offshore and onshore excavations.

“Along with other neighboring countries, Azerbaijan occupies a special place in the company's interests. At present, the company is taking steps to cooperate with Azerbaijan. However, cooperation has not started yet. Of course, if the sanctions against Iran are lifted, more favorable conditions will be created in this direction, “Asemi said.

According to him, the underwater depth in the Iranian part of the Caspian Sea is bigger than in Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Russia. This creates certain difficulties, yet the company is trying to continue working in the Caspian Sea to the best of its ability.

Asemi emphasized that Iran's North Drilling Company has the largest onshore and offshore drilling rigs in the countrywide.

The CEO also pointed out that the North Drilling Company has already conducted talks with the Turkmen side and started cooperation.
