BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. Gasoline consumption in Iran increased by 25 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the 5th month (July 23 through August 22, 2022), an official of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC), Jafar Salarinasab said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
The official noted that within the 6th month, gasoline consumption in the country liters was an average of 112 million per day. Even on some days, the figure reached 120 million liters per day.
“Whereas, in the 5th month, gasoline consumption in Iran was an average of 105 million liters per day,” he added.
According to Salarinasab, gasoline consumption has increased due to the holding of various events related to religious rituals in Iran, mainly as a result of increased visits to Iraq. Despite the increase in consumption, there was no shortage of gasoline.
On average, 104 million liters of gasoline are produced daily in Iran.
