Turkish BOTAS reveals number of projects in energy field to be implemented in 2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. The Turkish BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation is going to implement 15 projects in the field of energy in 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

According to the ministry, the overall value of the projects planned for implementation by the state will amount to 14.3 billion Turkish lira ($736.5 million).

"Some of the projects will be implemented at the expense of the external credit facilities. The total value of the external credit is 4.9 billion Turkish lira ($252.3 million)," said the ministry.

BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation is a state-owned crude oil and natural gas pipelines and trading company in Türkiye.

Overall, a total of 150 projects will be implemented in Türkiye in 2023.

As the ministry noted, the total value of the planned projects is 44.6 billion Turkish lira ($2.29 billion). It is planned to implement a part of these projects via external credit facilities, the amount of which is 8.1 billion Turkish lira ($417.3 million).

Last year, a total of 297.1 billion Turkish lira ($15.3 billion) were allocated for energy projects in Türkiye, of which 76.8 billion Turkish lira ($3.9 billion) were foreign loans.
