Iran’s Atlas Jey Arvand Company eyes to launch new plant, warehouses

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Iran’s Atlas Jey Arvand Company is set to launch three facilities (one plant, two warehouses) in the near future by investing 20 trillion rials (about $476 million), Executive Director of the company Saeed Abbasi said, Trend reports.

The company, which is located in the Persian Gulf Mining and Metal Industries Special Economic Zone (PGSEZ), has a capacity to produce 600,000 tons of bitumen per year.

According to Abbasi, the company is expanding its operations by building new plants and warehouses in two strategic ports of Iran. One of them is Chabahar port in Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran), where a warehouse with a capacity of 40,000 tons of bitumen will be operational within the next 3 months.

“The construction of this warehouse is almost done, with 89 percent of the physical work completed,” Abbasi said.

The other one is Imam Khomeini port in Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran), where a bitumen production plant with a capacity of 760,000 tons per year and a warehouse with a capacity of 40,000 tons are being built, he added.

The director also pointed out that the construction of this plant and warehouse is progressing well, with 36 percent of the physical work completed. The company expects to finish them within the next 20 months.

Additionally, he noted that the company is planning to establish a center in Isfahan Province, with an investment of 1.5 trillion rials (about $35.7 million).
