Over 10 international energy corporations have set up permanent representation in Ceyhan, which is linked to foreign investors' interest in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) main export oil pipeline, Trend reports.
Ali Duru, Head of the Ceyhan Chamber of Commerce, said foreign companies' interest in the project increases. He particularly mentioned some huge companies, including Russian LUKOIL, Austrian OMV and Indian Oil Corporation, which set up representation in this province.
Mr Duru said that Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas also takes an interest in the construction of oil reservoirs in Ceyhan, while they still have company representation there. The construction of new oil and gas reservoirs is scheduled for 2009-2010.
