Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / Over the next three years, the French Company AREVA will bring sixty Azerbaijan high-voltage substations up to SCADA code, a source in the Azerenerji joint-stock company said. A contract with the company will be signed in September.
AREVA won the bid attended by twenty-two companies. The company will repair transformers and other equipment in the substations. In addition, the company will connect all stations to three dispatcher centres established in Azerenerji within the first stage of the SCADA project.
The total value of the project is estimated at $55mln, with $47mln to be allotted by the WB and $8mln by Azerbaijan. The project provides for the introduction of the SCADA system into all Azerbaijani regions.
