Iran Khodro Automaker Company has saved 138 million euro via domestic manufacturing since the beginning of last Iranian year (starting March 21, 2019), Trend reports citing the company’s official portal.
According to the report, the saved funds were spent to increase the company’s manufacturing.
“So far, 53 million euro has saved through nationalization of projects on automobile manufacturing,” the report said.
Furthermore, 58 million euro has saved through the implementation of design projects, the report added.
According to the report, 27 million euro was saved with manufacturing of spare parts domestically.
"Iran Khodro plans to save 153 million euro through domestic manufacturing in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021)," the report noted.
Iran Khodro manufactured more than 278,000 units of various types of vehicles during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 20-October 21, 2020), which is an increase of 55 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
