Coordination of frequency resources in CIS countries considered in Astana

The Coordination Group on Digital Broadcasting of Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications discussed coordination of frequency resources in the CIS countries, Teleradio PU told Trend .

According to a source, the issue was considered within the XI meeting of the Coordination Group on Digital Broadcasting, held in Astana on September 3-4.

The participants exchanged experience and plans to introduce land digital television broadcasting standard of DVB-T / H, defined a list of priority actions necessary for the introduction of digital television.

They also exchanged information on the list of approved television programs for social multiplex, making decisions on the appointment of a separate operator for digital broadcasting to broadcast social programs, attraction of private operators to introduce digital television.

Members of the Coordination Group also considered use of radio frequency bands of 790-862 MHz (61-69) in the territory of countries-participants of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication. They also and discussed the results of work and ITU study groups (International Telecommunication Union) and CEPT (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations

Experiment-calculated determination of the service network zones of land digital television broadcasting, the analysis of reception and transmission equipment used by countries-participants of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication, exchange of information on the results of the tests of broadcasting zones were conducted within the meeting.

Prospective technologies of digital broadcasting of DVB-T / T2 standard were also considered.
