The Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences and Saudi Arabia's Center for Science and Technology signed the agreements on cooperation in the field of nanotechnologies, the Academy of Sciences said.
The agreements envisage cooperation and implementation of projects with the Academy of Sciences and the Baku State University.
Nanotechnologies are widely used in the oil industry. Statistically significant results for increasing oil production in the oil fields of Azerbaijan are obtained with the use of nanotechnologies. At present, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), carried out the work to determine the rationality of nanotechnologies in the extraction of oil.
