Azerbaijani company installs Internet kiosks

Azerbaijan will take part in the discussion on plans for the introduction of digital terrestrial television broadcasting in the member countries of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC), the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry's Radio Frequencies  Administration said.

The issue will be discussed during the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) seminar "Implementation of digital broadcasting", which will be held in Kyrgyzstan Aug.24-25.

The meeting will also consider the results of the tests in advanced areas of digital broadcasting.

An Azerbaijani delegation will attend the 12th meeting of the Coordination Group for digital broadcasting Aug.27, which was expected to review issues for the coordination of frequency assignments.

The Coordination Group will continue work on finalizing the draft recommendations for the coordination of new and modification of planned frequency assignments and allotments of digital broadcasting in the frequency bands 174-230 MHz between the communication administrations of the RCC.

The range of 174-230 MHz is involved for digital television and covers the 6-12 channels in Azerbaijan.
