Azintelecom LLC of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan is preparing to launch SaaS (Software as a Service), a source in the country's IT market told Trend.
SaaS is a model of using business applications in the format of internet services. SaaS applications run on the service provider's server, and users rent them through an internet browser. The advantage of SaaS is the low cost of software ownership, mobility, low requirements for PC resources, etc.
In December 2017, Azintelecom signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft Azerbaijan, according to which the company will obtain the Microsoft partner status in the cloud solutions providers (CSP) program.
The CSP status will allow Azintelecom to resell licenses through Microsoft or to distribute the solutions by buying Microsoft licenses for server software.
For example, Azintelecom can buy server software on Exchange, SharePoint and so on, which can be resold to commercial structures in the future. In addition, Azintelecom can launch and resell all the products offered by Microsoft.
