BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3

By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Hyundai has delivered 38 All New Super Aero City buses to Turkmenistan, Trend reports, citing “Zolotoy Vek” (Golden Age) newspaper.

The company will also supply spare parts and consumables for the buses.

The buses were delivered to Turkmenbashi International Seaport and sent to the capital of Turkmenistan-Ashgabat.

Thus, the delivery of buses was implemented under the contract for the supply of 400 buses of this modification, signed in March this year between Hyundai Corporation and Turkmenawtoulaglary Agency (Turkmen automobile service).

Hyundai has been cooperating with Turkmenistan since 2008. During this time, the company delivered more than 1,200 buses to Turkmenistan.

As it was reported earlier, Turkmenistan wanted to purchase Korea’s New Hyundai Super Aero City buses that meet Euro-4 environmental standards.

This issue was raised at the governmental meeting. Speaking at the meeting, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the long cooperation with Hyundai, which is Turkmenistan’s long-standing business partner.

Hyundai company’s buses are widely used on the country's urban and intercity routes.
Hundreds of cars of various models have been recently purchased. This allowed increasing the number of route lines and reducing bus movement intervals.
