The volume of export cargo transportation by road surpassed 1.39 million tons in 2020, which is 0.96 percent more compared to 2019, Trend reports citing the report of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC).
According to the SCC, export cargo transportation by road was carried out in the amount of $1.23 billion, an increase of 2.4 percent.
In total, last year, Azerbaijan carried out cargo transportation by road worth over $7.44 billion, which is 2.23 percent more than in 2019.
As reported, imports of goods by road during the reporting period amounted to more than 2.36 million tons worth over $6 billion, a decrease of about 3 percent.
In 2020, cargo transportation in Azerbaijan was carried out in the amount of almost $24.5 billion, which is 26.5 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
