EU's leading rail carrier ready to develop transports with Turkmenistan

PKP CARGO Group, which is the largest rail freight carrier in Poland and a leading rail carrier in the European Union, is ready to develop transport with Turkmenistan within Trans-Caspian Transport Route, the Poland’s Ministry of Infrastructure told Trend.

The ministry noted that currently PKP CARGO Group cooperates with Turkmenistan in bilateral rail freight transportation at an insignificant level and is ready to develop transports with Turkmenistan.

“The company is ready to develop transport within Trans-Caspian Transport Route (the southern alternative of the NSR) as well as in the bilateral dimension proportionally to the increase in mutual economic turnover between Poland and Turkmenistan,” the ministry added.

PKP CARGO Group transports goods for several thousand customers individually in Poland, as well as in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Hungary and Lithuania.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route starts from Southeast Asia and China, runs through Kazakhstan, the Caspian sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to European countries.
