Editor-in-chief of the Directorate of information and analytical programme of "Khabar" TV channel, Yulia Valiakhmetova has been appointed director of "KazakhTV" TV channel. In autumn, in the new television season, the first national satellite television channel of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Caspionet" will be broadcasted under the new name "KazakhTV", and therefore, to re-branding of the TV channel and, accordingly, a number of changes to the format and stationing are expected.
Yulia began her professional career as a journalist in 2000 at the regional "Alau" TV channel in Kostanai.
Her career at "Khabar" Agency Valiakhmetova began in 2007 as correspondent of the news department of Directorate of Information Programs. In 2010 she was appointed as editor-in-chief of the Directorate of information and analytical programme of the "Khabar" TV channel, she is author and host of "Zheti kүn" TV programme.
National satellite TV channel "KazakhTV" is part of the JSC "Khabar" Agency. TV channel is broadcasted in 93 countries in America, Europe, Central Asia, Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa. Broadcasting of the TV channel was launched on Oct.25, 2002.
