Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed strengthening the law for crimes based on religious grounds.
"We need to strengthen the penalties for social and religious opposition and for offenses on these grounds," Nursultan Nazarbayev said on Wednesday during an interactive lecture at Nazarbayev University.
He urged the institutions to actively develop the stability and harmony of interethnic and interreligious relations.
"Kazakhs reject extremism and radicalism. Our citizens have always opposed political chatter and social strife", Nazarbayev said.
