Kazakh plant eyes increasing cars production by end of 2021

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kostanay SaryarkaAvtoProm plant in Kazakhstan intends to produce 60,000 cars by the end of the year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

“For 7M2021 months, Kazakh car plant produced more than 28,600 cars, which is 46.9 percent more than the same period last year. The car plant currently produces products of the following brands: JAC, Chevrolet, KIA, Renault, LADA, UAZ, SAZ, MAN, the press service of the car plant reported.

It is reported that on July 16 this year, the plant launched new lines for the production of LADA cars. At the industrial site of the plant, the entire model range of LADA cars will be produced including Niva Travel, Niva 4x4, Vesta, X-RAY, Largus and Granta. The production of the Granta model is carried out by the small-knot method, with the use of welding and body painting operations.

It is also noted that this year a Renault production line was launched at the SaryarkaAvtoProm plant, where the production of Arkana and Kaptur models was launched. More than 3,000 domestically produced cars are exported to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Belarus.

In the ranking of sales, Kostanay cars of the Chevrolet brand (more than 17,000 units) became the invariable leader, the first positions of the rating were taken by the Cobalt and Nexia models. The five most demanded brands also included KIA and LADA cars.
