BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. Of the 25,000 tons of Russian oil received from the system of main oil pipelines of Transneft PJSC to the system of main oil pipelines of KazTransOil JSC for transit through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, KazTransOil transited 10,700 tons of oil in the first quarter of 2023, Trend reports via the company.

As the company noted, the remaining 14,200 tons of oil were shipped at the beginning of April 2023.

In 2023, the total planned volume of Russian oil transit to the Republic of Uzbekistan through the system of main oil pipelines of KazTransOil JSC remains at the level of 225,000 tons.

The pumping of Russian oil to the Republic of Uzbekistan through the system of main oil pipelines of KazTransOil JSC was launched in 2017. The volume of transit in 2017 amounted to 67,900 tons and in 2018 - 36,000 tons. In 2019-2022, there was no transit of Russian oil through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.

From February 1, KazTransOil JSC increased the tariff for the service of transporting oil of Russian origin for the purpose of transit through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan from $25.12 to $27.9 per 1 ton (excluding VAT).
