BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 14. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye from January through July 2022 increased by 56.7 percent over the same period in 2021 ($214.3 million) - up to $335.9 million, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Kyrgyz exports to Türkiye in 7 months of this year more than doubled compared to the corresponding period of last year ($39 million) - up to $80.4 million.
Imports of goods from Türkiye to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $255.5 million, which is 45.8 percent more than in the same period last year ($175.2 million).
Thus, during the reporting period, Türkiye ranked fourth among the main trading partners of Kyrgyzstan, while China ranked first ($2.1 billion), followed by Russia ($1.7 billion) and Kazakhstan ($665.5 million).
Overall, the foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period increased by 30.9 percent compared to the same period of 2021 - up to $6 billion.
