Tajikistan takes over chairmanship of SCO Business Council

The Chairman of Tajikistan's Trade and Industry Chamber Sharif Said was elected as chairmen of the SCO Business Council, CA-News reported on Thursday.
The decision was made at the annual session of the council held on Wednesday in Bishkek.
At the meeting the participants also looked through a number of actual issues of cooperation among the SCO member states.
The SCO Business Council was established in 2006 in order to provide assistance for the broadening of economic cooperation and attract member states to cooperation in trade and economic, financial investment, scientific, energy, communication and other areas.
Kyrgyzstan's representative was previoulys chairman in the council.
