BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. Tajikistan shared updated data on the country's wheat harvest as of August 19, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry, to date, the total wheat harvest in Tajikistan reached 696,381 tons.
"The yield of wheat in the Sughd region is 36 centners per 1 hectare, in the Khatlon region - 36 centners, in Dushanbe - 26 centners and in districts under central government jurisdiction - 28.5 centners," the Ministry reported.
Overall, the total grain production across the country amounted to 852,271 tons for now.
Meanwhile, the volume of Tajikistan's wheat harvest in 2021 totaled 864,000 tons, while this year 917,000 tons are expected.
