BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. Uzbekistan exported to Tajikistan fruit and vegetables in the amount of 21,500 tons from January through November 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
According to the Uzbek committee, the value of Tajikistan's fruit and vegetable imports from Uzbekistan in the first 11 months of this year reached $6.7 million.
During the reporting period, Tajikistan also imported from Uzbekistan textile products worth $54.5 million, which is more than a threefold increase over the same period in 2021 ($16.2 million).
Tajikistan mainly imports from Uzbekistan mineral and chemical fertilizers, natural gas, household appliances, clothing and footwear, carpets, silk products, tomatoes, watermelons, and melons.
Meanwhile, Tajikistan's total trade turnover with Uzbekistan from January through November 2022 reached $607.2 million, which is an increase of 11.8 percent over the same period in 2021 ($543.1 million).
