The Miveli Ulke Turkmen individual enterprise has carried out the first supply of Gulyabi melons to Dubai, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
It is noted that this melon variety was not chosen by chance - it is suitable for transportation and is well stored. If the storage temperatures are observed for up to 25 days, it retains all its qualities.
It is reported that the delivery of the cargo was carried out by land transport and will take 8-10 days.
Also, according to the information of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, now 200 varieties of local melons are cultivated on the melon plantations of the country. Many of them have been restored over the years of independence of the country.
In May, on a 50-hectare plot of land in the Turkmenistan farmer association of the Vekilbazar district of the Mary region, Miveli Ulke began construction of a new greenhouse complex for growing bananas and citrus fruits. It is planned to grow tangerines on three hectares of the greenhouse.
Also, along with the delivery of vegetables and fruits, under the ‘Hoşwagt’ brand name the enterprise produces coffee and cocoa products, corn and wheat chips, a number of grain processing products, bread croutons, and honey flakes.
