BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan decreased by 4.3 percent from January through April 2022 compared to the same period of 2021 and amounted to $254.5 million, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan website.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan’s imports from Turkmenistan amounted to $205.3 million, while export - were $49.2 million. Thus, Turkmenistan entered the top 10 biggest foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan from January through April 2022.
Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover in the first 4 months of 2022 exceeded $17.16 billion, an increase of 61.2 percent, or $6.5 billion compared to the same period in 2021.
During the reporting period, almost $3.1 billion accounted for Uzbekistan's trade with China, while Uzbekistan’s imports from China exceeded $2.3 billion and export - were $826.3 million.
The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan amounted to $881.9 million in 2021, which is 61 percent more than in 2020.
