BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $22.5 million last week, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, entrepreneurs from the UAE purchased heavy vacuum diesel fuel produced by the Seydi Oil Refinery on the exchange for foreign currency.
Representatives of business circles from the UAE, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas, kerosene, petroleum bitumen and technical sulfur produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit, Turkmengaz, Turkmenhimiya state concerns.
Furthermore, businessmen from Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan bought smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products on exchange.
A total of 32 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
