ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 24. Farmers of Turkmenistan are planning to plant 1,400 hectares of land for potatoes in the Lebap region located in the east of the country this season, Trend reports.
According to official data, farmers expect to harvest 14 tons
per hectare from cultivated lands this year, for a total of 19600
tons of potatoes.
Farmers irrigate crops, do inter-row processing, and use organic
and mineral fertilizers to promote active development and boost
crop yields.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is working to ensure long-term agricultural
development through infrastructure modernization, the introduction
of modern technology, and production diversification.
The country is making significant investments in infrastructure,
creating new crops, helping small farms, and prioritizing
environmental sustainability.
