Turkmenistan to build new hotel on Caspian Sea coast and school with nursery in Ashgabat

(Turkmenistan.ru) - Turkmenistan has announced winners of international tenders for construction of a luxury hotel in the Caspian city of Turkmenbashi and a school with a kindergarten in the Turkmen capital. The total cost of projects exceeds US $ 31,5 mln.

Turkmen president Saparmurat Niyazov signed a decree which approves the decision of the tender commission of the state concern Turkmenneftegazstroy on selection of bids and the report of the expert commission to award Turkish company Ichkale Inshaat Ltd Shirketi a contract for the design and turnkey construction of a luxury hotel for 220 beds in the settlement of Avaza near the town of Turkmenbashi, reports Trend.

Construction of the facility worth US $ 20,400 mln should begin in December this year and finish in May 2008.

The same company has also won the tender for design and construction in Ashgabat of a nursery for 160 children and landscaping of the adjacent territory totaling US $ 3,423 mln which is to be commissioned in February 2008. According to the document signed by the Turkmen president, the state concern Turkmenneftegazstroy is authorized to sign a contract with this company.

By the same document, the concern is authorized to sign a contract with Turkish company Shahturkmen Inshaat Gyda Textile we Otomotiv Sanayy we Ticaret Ltd Shirketi, the winner of the international tender, for the design and construction of a school for 600 schoolchildren and landscaping of the adjacent territory worth US $ 7, 732 mln in the Turkmen capital. Construction will start next January and finish in February 2008.
