BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. The annual inflation rate in Uzbekistan amounted to 12.3 percent in August 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the Bank, increased pressure on prices in Uzbekistan arises under the influence of internal and external economic factors affecting supply and demand in consumer markets.
Thus, in the structure of annual inflation, prices for food products in August 2022 increased by 16.3 percent, for non-food products - by 10.9 percent, for services - by 7.1 percent.
Meanwhile, the S&P Global Ratings expects inflation rate in Uzbekistan to be 12 percent in 2022.
