TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 12. The total value of Uzbek-Czech business agreement signed during the working visit of Uzbekistan’s delegation to the Czech Republic from October 10 through October 11 amounted to 800 million euros, Trend reports.
During the visit, bilateral meetings and negotiations were held with representatives of the leading Czech firms and companies, aimed at expanding cooperation in various directions. A number of enterprises were visited in order to get acquainted with high-tech production processes.
The visit witnessed signing of such agreements as the Memorandum of Understanding between Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic aimed at developing and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Further reinforcing international collaboration, National Bank of Uzbekistan JSC and the Czech EGAP Export Credit Agency signed a cooperation agreement to attract a credit line from a foreign party for 30 million euros.
Meanwhile, the Uzbek-Czech Business Forum was held on October 11 in Prague as part of the official visit of the delegation of the government of Uzbekistan to the Czech Republic.
Following the results of the business forum, the parties reached important bilateral agreements on the development of partnership in the field of innovative technologies, agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, and transport, as well as electrical engineering, textiles, metallurgy, banking and financial areas.
