Uzbekistan reveals production statistics for mining, quarrying enterprises

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 2. Uzbekistan's mining and quarrying enterprises manufactured products in the amount of 10.2 trillion soums ($806.6 million) from January through February 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this indicator amounts to 10.6 percent of the total industry volume.

The biggest production volume was noted in Tashkent (3.5 trillion soums, or $276.7 million). Navoi region ranks second with a production volume worth 2.4 trillion soums ($189.8 million), then comes Tashkent region with 623.1 billion soums ($49.2 million). The smallest production volume was noted in the Khorezm region (4 million soums, or $316) during this period.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 96.9 trillion soums ($7.7 billion) from January through February 2024.

As per data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, the index of physical volume of industrial production amounted to 116.4 percent year-on-year.

Tashkent city (18.1 percent), Tashkent region (15.2 percent), Navoi region (18.6 percent), Andijan region (9.9 percent), Samarkand region (4.7 percent), and Ferghana region (4.6 percent) accounted for the largest share of the total volume of industrial production in the country during this period.
