Iran manufactures first mobile submarine simulator
Iran manufactured and launched the first mobile training simulator of submarine class "Tareq" in honor of the Iranian Naval Forces' anniversary, Fars news agency reports.
According to the Iranian Navy Commander Habibollah Sayari, this device can safely submerge, climb and stay in the water.
"The simulator is designed for training submersion, surfacing, as well as for the repair works in the case of damage," he said.
In August 2010, Iranian Naval Forces added four new submarines of domestic production to its armory. In recent years, Tehran is trying to strengthen the country's defense.
Iran marks the anniversary of formation of Iran's Naval Forces Nov. 28.
