A senior member of Iran's National Security Council here Monday reiterated his country's nuclear rights were 'non-negotiable.'
Talking to IRNA in Geneva, Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Baqeri made clear Iran's nuclear rights would not be part of Iran's talks with the '5 plus 1' group which started earlier in the day.
He stressed the Iranian nuclear issue could only be dealt with by the International Atomic Energy Agency and other countries had no legal right to interfere
in it.
Baqeri urged the G5 plus 1 to learn from its past mistakes, as some G5 +1 countries were still pursuing wrong policies on Iran.
He emphasized the only option for the G5 plus 1 was to pursue a dialogue with Iran.
The Iranian offical linked the outcome of the talks to the approach by the G5 plus 1.
Baqeri said there had been a number of bilateral talks ahead of the Group 5+1 meeting with Iran.
