The microprocessor speed of the supercomputer produced in Iran will hit 34,000 MHz, Iranian Deputy President for Science and Technology Salar Amuli was quoted by the official website of the Iranian television Iribnews.ir as saying.
He said that the national computer will be ready for use this year. It will enter the top 500 most powerful computers in the world.
"Developing of a supercomputer will serve to full renewal in science and technologies of the country. A supercomputer will be used in the field of seismology, defense and nuclear physics, and solve various issues," Amuli said.
