(Cihan) - Pope Benedict XVI has arrived in Turkish capital Ankara on his first visit to a Muslim country, reports Trend.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed the pontiff soon after he got off the plane.
Erdogan and Pope Benedict later entered the VIP Hall at the airport and had talks.
Strict security measures have been implemented at and around the airport and no press members were allowed the follow the meeting except for state run TV.
